FOR.A Named Exclusive Distributor for Fujitsu Video Encoders & Decoders

    FOR-A is now the exclusive distributor of Fujitsu high-performance encoders and decoders in North America. Used by top North American broadcasters, Fujitsu’s IP series of H.264 video encoders and decoders became available for purchase through FOR-A on August 1.

    Fujitsu's IP series of video encoders and decoders use advanced MPEG-4 AVC technology encoding, known as H.264, to perform real-time transmission of HDTV at low bit rates over DVB and broadband IP networks. Employing the latest compression tools and image processing algorithms to provide best-in-class video fidelity, Fujitsu encoder/decoder equipment is capable of operating at less than 99ms back-to-back latency. With up to 40% packet error correction, broadcast quality video can be sent over public Internet connections. The compact solutions are ideal for HD/SD content delivery use in broadcast, enterprise and government applications.

    Models available for sale through FOR-A include Fujitsu’s IP-920 video transmission technology and the award-winning IP-9500 HD/SD video encoder/decoder. Both solutions feature robust error correction, a low latency mode, real-time transmission, and high-fidelity HDTV/SDTV video.
