  • TORONTO – With the format switch to JACK FM at 92.5 on the Toronto dial, former KISS-FM morning hosts Mad Dog and Billie were looking for a place to land.

Rogers Media found them one, announcing today that as of next Monday, June 23rd, the duo will take over as the morning hosts at 98.1 CHFI FM.

They replace morning hosts Bob Magee and Erin Davis, which may be a bit jarring for CHFI listeners as Davis has been in the morning chair at CHFI since 1988, most of it with the now-retired Don Daynard.

Davis was told of the switch on Friday and is no longer with Rogers Media, Julie Adam, CHFI’s general manager and program director told broadcastermagazine.com, who declined to comment further on Davis.

Magee has been hosting the morning show on his own all week and will remain with Rogers, says Adam. “We’re talking with Bob to see what it is he wants to do,” she said.

No decisions have yet been made in terms of on-air talent for JACK FM as yet.

Mad Dog and Bille were at KISS 92-5 Toronto for four years.

“We’re thrilled to have Mad-Dog & Billie join 98.1 CHFI,” said Adam. “They’re a perfect fit with the artists we play like Faith Hill, Norah Jones, Fleetwood Mac, and Shania Twain.”
