When Olivia Pope (Washington) – former communications director to the president of the United States – leaves the White House to open her own crisis management firm, she hopes to start a new chapter in her life - both professionally and personally. Despite spite striking out on her own, she is unable to cut ties with her former boss, President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn, Ghost), and his chief of staff, Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry, Grey’s Anatomy), who are always in need of assistance. But it soon becomes clear that they aren’t the only ones with a secret to protect.
