TSN Releases Multi-Platform Coverage of 100th. Grey Cup

TSN’s exclusive English-language coverage of the 100th Grey Cup, featuring the Toronto Argonauts at home to the Calgary Stampeders, airs nationally live on Sunday, Nov. 25  with the network’s five-hour pre-game show, Grey Cup Sunday.

With more than 20 hours of coverage planned over Grey Cup weekend alone, Canada’s Sports Leader has the 100th Grey Cup covered from all angles and across multiple platforms – TSN, TSN Mobile TV, TSN.ca, TSN Radio, and on TSN’s official Facebook and Twitter sites – giving fans all-encompassing coverage of one of the biggest championship games in Canadian history.

Along with watching the 100th Grey Cup on TSN, fans can tune in to the championship game on TSN Mobile TV, and on the following TSN Radio and TEAM Radio stations across the country: TSN Radio 1050 Toronto, TSN Radio 690 Montreal, TSN Radio 1290 Winnipeg, TEAM 1410 in Vancouver, and TEAM 1200 in Ottawa.

 Live radio streaming of the 100th Grey Cup is available on TSN.ca, with the game also available on demand on the website following the live television broadcast.

Once again, the CFL’s championship game is proving to be one of the hottest properties for advertisers in Canada. Sponsors of the 100th Grey Cup broadcast on TSN include Nissan, Rona, Scotiabank, Wendy’s, and GMC.

Leading up to the  Grey Cup, TSN has a full day of CFL programming on Grey Cup Saturday (Nov. 24) with 10 hours of comprehensive coverage,  plus extensive pre-game coverage on Sunday (Nov. 25).   Both Grey Cup Saturday and Grey Cup Sunday air live on TSN and TSN Mobile TV.

All week long, TSN also celebrates Canada’s game with coverage on all of the network’s programs including Canada’s most-watched sports news program, SportsCentre, Off the Record with Michael Landsberg, and TSN The Reporters with Dave Hodge.

On social media, TSN’s Monika Platek takes fans inside the 100th Grey Cup via TSN’s official social media channels with behind-the-scenes photos, video and interviews posted on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ throughout the week. Fans can also head to TSN.ca for exclusive online coverage of the game, halftime show, post-game celebrations, team events, and the 100th Grey Cup Festival in Toronto.  .

Sunday, Nov. 25

· 100th Grey Cup at 6 p.m. ET on TSN, TSN Mobile TV, TSN Radio and TEAM Radio

TSN’s acclaimed broadcast team of Chris Cuthbert and Glen Suitor are in the broadcast booth at Rogers Centre, providing play-by-play commentary and game analysis  on TSN. Veteran broadcaster Cuthbert has called the action in 14 previous CFL championship games, while Suitor – a Grey Cup champion with the Saskatchewan Roughriders – makes his fifth appearance in the booth for the big game.

Calling the game on TSN Radio 690 Montreal and TSN Radio 1290 Winnipeg, and on TEAM 1410 in Vancouver and TEAM 1200 in Ottawa, are play-by-play commentator Rod Black and analyst and two-time Grey Cup champion Duane Forde. On TSN Radio 1050 Toronto, Mike Hogan and Sandy Annunziata will handle play-by-play and analyst duties.

Hosts Dave Randorf and Brian Williams are at Rogers Centre for the game, alongside the CFL On  TSN panel featuring Grey Cup champion Chris Schultz, two-time Grey Cup champion and Canadian Football Hall of Famer Matt Dunigan, Jock Climie, Canadian Football Hall of Famer Milt Stegall, and TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor. Reporting from the sidelines are TSN’s Sara Orlesky and Farhan Lalji.

Grey Cup champion and former CFL head coach Paul LaPolice also joins the broadcast, breaking down key plays in his Coach’s Playbook segment and providing in-depth video analysis using TSN’s advanced “Libero” telestrator system.

Prior to kick-off, TSN will feature a performance by Johnny Reid as part of the CFL’s special Kick-Off Show at Rogers Centre, along with player introductions and the national anthem performed by Burton Cummings.

At halftime, TSN has live coverage of the Sirius XM Grey Cup Half-Time Show featuring an all-star lineup with Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Marianas Trench, and Gordon Lightfoot performing. Randorf and the CFL On  TSN panel also return to break down all the action from the first half.

Following the game, TSN’s Grey Cup Post-Game Show has CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon presenting the Grey Cup to the game’s winning team, as well as the awards for Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Canadian.

The CFL ON TSN panel is also on hand to provide post-game analysis and conduct live interviews with players and coaches on the field leading up to Sportscentre after the game with hosts Bryan Mudryk and Kate Beirness. Sportscentre will feature highlights and more reaction from the stadium.

TSN’s pre-game coverage kicks off with Sportscentre hosts Rod Smith and Darren Dutchyshen live from the Scotiabank Football Experience in Toronto, and then moves to Rogers Centre, where  hosts Dave Randorf and Brian Williams continue to tee up the championship game with in-depth analysis from the CFL On TSN panel, special features, interviews, and reports from TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor. Grey Cup Sunday also checks in with TSN’s Cabral ‘Cabbie’ Richards as he hosts the Grey Cup Fan March from Varsity Stadium to Rogers Centre.

TSN delivers 10 hours of comprehensive coverage of Canada’s game on Grey Cup Saturday featuring  hosts Rod Smith and Darren Dutchyshen live from the Scotiabank Football Experience. Throughout the day, the CFL On TSN panel, along with TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor, analysts Glen Suitor and Duane Forde, and former CFL head coach Paul LaPolice, check in from Rogers Centre with Grey Cup news and analysis, while TSN’s reporters at the East and West practices file reports from the sidelines.

 Joining Smith and Dutchyshen with additional insight on the big game are Dave Hodge and his panel of reporters from his weekly show, TSN The Reporters with Dave Hodge. Also part  is TSN’s Cabral ‘Cabbie’ Richards, who takes a ride on the zipline at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto, and CP24’s Melissa Grelo, who gives fans a taste of all the Grey Cup festivities in the city.

  An encore presentation of TSN’s special series of Grey Cup features produced as part of the network’s coverage of the Grey Cup 100 Train Tour Presented by RONA and narrated by different Grey Cup champions including Geroy Simon, Glen Suitor and Roger Aldag.

 · Sportscentre Top 10 Presents: Canadian Football Pays of the Year at 5:30 p.m. ET, complementing the TSN Play of the Year Showdoan; Canadian Footabll Edition on TSN.ca. The 30-minute special counts down the 10 best plays from the past CFL season and reveals Canada’s pick for top play of the year following four rounds of online voting at TSN.ca/Showdown.

 Field Access on TSN.ca

New this year, TSN debuts the Field Access hub on TSN.ca – complementing the network’s live television broadcast  and giving fans the ultimate companion viewing destination on game day. While watching coverage of Sunday’s big game on TSN, fans can simultaneously catch the pre-game warm-ups live and unedited at TSN.ca/FieldAccess, as well as watch an alternate, overhead angle of the game provided by the broadcast’s Cablecam.

 The Field Access hub will also host a live online pre-game chat with former CFL head coach Paul LaPolice. During the game, the live chat will continue and feature tweets from Chris Schultz, Matt Dunigan, Jock Climie and Milt Stegall. Field Access will also have more social media reaction  through TSN Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds.

TSN Radio hits the gridiron as the national radio broadcaster , with live radio coverage of the championship game also heard on TEAM Radio stations across the country. Coverage begins at 4 p.m. ET with a pre-game show hosted by Jim Tatti, and includes full post-game coverage featuring the presentation of the Grey Cup.
