Vancouver-based film and T.V. producer Eh-Okay Entertainment and creators Wonderful Kid Company (NYC) have entered into a development deal with TVOKids for the new CG-animated preschool series Chip and Coco’s Adventures.

The series follows the mystery-solving missions of two crafty kittens, Chip and Coco, who help young members of their community solve simple behavior-based dilemmas by cracking the code for success.

Noelle Wright (Doc McStuffins, Land Before Time, Finley the Fire Engine) is attached as the series writer and Jason Netter (She-Zow, Wolverine and The X-Men) as an Executive Producer.

Chip and Coco’s Adventures was conceived by Wonderful Kid Co.’s Daniel Smith as a way to find fun and playful methods to provide kids the tools and skills needed to be kind, considerate and responsible, increasing confidence and leading to success in school and life.

“TVOKids is thrilled to work with Eh-Okay Entertainment and Wonderful Kid on Chip and Coco’s Adventures which will help get kids school-ready while being fun and entertaining,” says Pat Ellingson, TVO Creative Head, Children’s and Parents’ Media. “All of TVOKids content supports the Ontario curriculum and character development is an important component of that. Chip and Coco’s Adventures will demonstrate concepts like team work, taking responsibility and being mindful of one another.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with TVOKids to bring the series to life.  TVO is an innovator in children’s educational media and a perfect home for Chip and Coco’s Adventures,” noted Daniel Smith, series creator.

“I’ve grown up with TVO and have long-admired their programming choices. So I am extremely pleased to be working on our first series with them.”  says Eh-Okay producer Heather Puttock.

The Wonderful Kid Company (NYC) is an innovator in children’s educational entertainment - creating fun, engaging, and memorable programming and content that children love and parents and educators trust.

Eh-Okay Entertainment is a Canadian production company founded by Heather Puttock that focuses on the development and production of home-grown projects. Eh-Okay is currently in development on the animated series Wyrd House and has just completed two live-action family movies for CTV/Hallmark: Pete’s Christmas starring Molly Parker, Zachary Gordon and Bruce Dern; and The Hunters starring Victor Garber, Robbie Amell and Alexa Vega.

Distribution Consultant, Matt Cooperstein (Los Angeles) brokered the deal on behalf of The Wonderful Kid Co., Eh-Okay and TVO.
