CHOM 97 7 kicks off the New Year with unveilling of  a new programming line-up and  announces  that Terry DiMonte is home!

CHOM 97 7 Brand Director André Lallier stated, "this is an extremely exciting time for radio in Montréal and specifically CHOM. We have a responsibility as the only rock radio station in the city and are committed to delivering a quality product, both in terms of the music we play, and in terms of the talented personalities we have on air. The 7-day line-up we have in place is something I am very proud to be a part of".

As of Monday, waking up will become something to look forward to as Terry DiMonte returns to rock your radio every weekday from 5:30 to 10 am on the Spirit of Rock CHOM 97 7. "I am really happy to be back on-air at CHOM and to wake-up with Montréal listeners! CHOM is an iconic radio station and I am excited to be part of this team of pros who eat, live and breathe great radio".

As of January 16, Heather B will join as Terry's co-host and brings her radio experience from time spent here in Montréal, as well as from markets in Ohio, Mississippi, and Tennessee.  The show will fear nothing and will take on everything from politics to pop-culture, sports and the arts. Contributing to the show will be sharp witted Montréal native Maureen Holloway, Trudie Mason from the CJAD Newsroom, Eric Engels on the Habs, and Orla Johannes covering traffic.

Tootall, a radio icon, will share his musical knowledge and insight every weekday from 10 am to 3 pm, and will serve up something special everyday from noon to 1 pm on CHOM's Made to Order. Bilal Butt will bring you the Butt Show from 3 to 8 pm. Always willing to just cross the line, Bilal will always remind you that you'd love to hang out with him, but would never let him date your daughter. Weekday evenings just got a little louder. Amped with The Rockman, hosted by Jason Rockman (yes that is his real name) from 8 pm to midnight will make sure your neighbours remember how to bang on the walls.

You'll wake up weekend mornings with CHOM's own Queen of Rock Sharon Hyland from 6 to 11am. Sharon will ease you into a new day as you try to brush off the night before. From 11am to 4pm Rob Kemp takes the helm. His passion for music is only paralleled by his passion for hockey. He'll tell you how the coach is doing... in both official languages. Randy Renaud hosts your weekend evenings from 4 to 8pm. Randy's musical knowledge is so extensive that Wikipedia asks him questions.

Former CHOM morning co-host Chantal Desjardins will be joining the Aaron Rand show, heard afternoons on CJAD 800.

CHOM is alone in Montreal. The only English language music station. It should be a no brainer but why do they continually drag the bottom of the barrel for their hosts. Dimonte! Are there no new, upcoming hosts out there. Why does CHOM continuously have to drag the moth-ball hosts out and sy things like, "this is an extremely exciting time for radio in Montréal and specifically CHOM." It's laughable.
