Global Announces 2024 Canada’s Walk of Fame Broadcast

  • Global rolls out the red carpet in celebration of Canadian excellence with the 2016 Canada’s Walk of Fame broadcast special, airing on Monday, December 19. The network’s annual tribute to extraordinary Canadians delivers viewers an exceptional night featuring electrifying performances and A-list presenters.

    • 2016 Allan Slaight Honour Recipient: Brett Kissel, Country Music Artist

    Among the 2016 Canada’s Walk of Fame presenters are Dr. Roberta Bondar (2011 CWOF Inductee), Chris Evert, Sharon Gless, Brad Goreski, Humble The Poet, Tatiana Maslany, Lanny McDonald, Kiefer Sutherland (2005 CWOF Inductee), Scott Thompson (2008 CWOF Inductee), Margaret Trudeau, and Nikki Yanofsky (2010 Inaugural Allan Slaight Honour Recipient). The special also includes performances from Nelly Furtado (2010 CWOF Inductee), Brett Kissel, and Ayaz V (2016 Grand Prize Winner, CWOF Emerging Artist Music Mentorship Program, supported by RBC).

    The 2016 Canada’s Walk of Fame special brings the country’s most notable Canadians together, with show-stopping performances and heartfelt tributes, to honour individuals for their achievements in their respective fields, including: music, sports, film and television, literary, visual and performing arts, science, innovation, philanthropy, and social justice.
