CTV Unveils Digital Hub with Top TV Shows, Exclusive Content

    National TV network CTV is offering up hit TV shows, exclusive digital content, and popular purchased programming on its new digital hub.

    The new branded entertainment Web portal CTV Extend has launched as part of the network's website, with exclusive original and acquired digital content streaming on the ad-supported platform; the CTV Extend line-up is also available on demand on CTV GO.

    CTV.ca wants to keep its top ranking for online video streams as high as possible high with increased viewer interest in new and exclusive digital content it will premiere later this year.

    Programs include original series, interactive shows developed with complimentary online content, as well as newly commissioned programming that will debut later this year, programmers describe, including the eight-episode original Web-to-TV series Backpackers from Smokebomb Entertainment, and the 13-episode original series Space Riders: Division Earth from iThentic, both commissioned exclusively for the new digital media portal.

    Acquired content available on the site includes Arrow: Blood Rush, spun-off from CTV hit Arrow; Wolfpack of Reseda from Fox Digital Studios; as well as CTV’s slate of original spin-off series, including Saving Hope: Last Call, Motive: Dark Corner, and The Listener: Double Date with Death.

    On deck for CTV Extend is Joke or Choke, a pilot ordered exclusively for CTV Extend from Insight Productions and Executive Producer Howie Mandel, as well as Season 2 of the popular EMMY-Award-winning series Guidestones from iThentic and 3’oclock.tv.
