  • These are challenging times for the broadcasting industry- new competition across various platforms, declining ad revenues, internal restructuring in most companies and lots of uncertainty.  How is one supposed to stay focused and do their best work? In this seminar, Dr. Jacques Dallaire – author of Performance Thinking- Mental Skills for the Competitive World will help you to understand how the way that you think, influences how you feel, how you behave and ultimately, how you perform! His Rules of the Mental Road will provide a framework to understand how to more effectively control your Mindset in order to optimize your performance in the most challenging circumstances.
Dr. Jacques Dallaire received his doctorate in exercise physiology from the University of Alberta in 1979. He taught at McGill University in Montreal for five years before assuming the newly created position of Manager of Science and Medicine Programs at Sport Canada (a division of the Canadian Government’s Ministry of Fitness and Amateur Sport). While at Sport Canada, Dr. Dallaire was responsible for the management of the Sport Science Support Program that provided funding to more than forty National Sport Governing Bodies to support their sport science initiatives. He also served on the review board for the Sport Science Research Program and was the principle liaison between the government of Canada and the Sports Medicine Council of Canada and its four professional member organizations.
Dr. Dallaire relocated to Florida in 1992 to undertake the development of a comprehensive performance enhancement program – Human Performance International – where he served as president for eight years. In 1998 he moved to the Charlotte, NC area where he ultimately formed Performance Prime and currently serves as its president.
Over the past forty plus years, Dr. Dallaire has enjoyed the opportunity to work directly with more than 735 high performance motor racing drivers from forty-three countries, numerous race teams, as well as several thousand high performance individuals from a multitude of sports and a variety of occupations including law enforcement, the entertainment world, and the business community. Dr. Dallaire splits his time between delivering sports-team and corporate/occupational group performance programs and providing individual, one-on-one programs with high-performance competitors from many walks of life. He is a founding member of the International Council of Motorsport Sciences, a board member of the Stand 21 “Racing Goes Safer” Foundation, and in 2024 was inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame – in recognition of his innovative, state-of-the-art training strategies and the impact he has had on the sport.
