  • On Wednesday November 16th, the Canadian Association of Content Exporters – Association canadienne des exportateurs de contenu announced its founding membership and interim executive, established to represent distributors and exporters of television and digital content based in Canada.  Founding members include: 9 Story, Blue Ant Media, Cineflix Media, Corus Entertainment, DHX Media, Entertainment One (eOne) and its Quebec subsidiary Les Films Séville.

“The marketplace for content today is truly global. Increasingly our ability to successfully export our content is a key measure of the health and sustainability of our industry, and our ability to continue to develop home-grown content and retain talent” said Raja Khanna, Chair of CACE-ACEC. “We look forward to working with our members and industry stakeholders to find new ways to support talent development, content creation and distribution in emerging formats.”

CACE-ACEC is focused on building a more sustainable Canadian industry by supporting a policy framework that encourages risk-taking by internationally competitive Canadian-based content exporters.  CACE-ACEC is committed to ensuring the success and revenues derived from the sale of the content internationally continue to be reinvested here at home in Canada.
