It’s almost time to kick off the 2024 CFL season, and TSN pumps up Canadians for the journey to the 101st GREY CUP in Regina with a new promotional campaign titled You Need To See These Guys Play. Encompassing broadcast, print, outdoor, and digital ads, TSN’s extensive multi-platform campaign profiles what the league’s biggest stars love to do off the field, while also showcasing their intensity on the gridiron.
The You Need To See These Guys Play campaign features 12 original promotional spots that will run across TSN and Bell Media platforms leading up to the start of the regular season and throughout the summer. The campaign launches with two spots, with the first featuring 100th GREY CUP champion Chad Owens stepping into the octagon and surfing in his native Hawaii. The second spot features the B.C. Lions’ Travis Lulay tackling some fly fishing in Chilliwack, B.C.
“You Need To See These Guys Play is all about giving fans an up-close-and-personal look at the most dynamic players in the CFL,” said Kieron Mullarkey, Creative Director, TSN. “The guys were really receptive to the concept and invited us to tag along with them during the off-season. We’re excited to reintroduce fans to these 12 CFL stars – both as real people with a range of passions, and of course, as incredible athletes.”
In addition to Owens and Lulay, the campaign also features Marc-Olivier Brouillette, Anthony Calvillo, Jon Cornish, Weston Dressler, Andy Fantuz, Chris Getzlaf, Buck Pierce, Ricky Ray, JC Sherritt, and Drew Tate.
