SiriusXM Canada today announced it will broadcast iconic radio team Humble and Fred’s 25th anniversary party live from the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto on Wednesday, November 5th.
The event will air at 8 pm ET on Canada Laughs, Humble and Fred’s flagship channel where they host the weekday morning show throughout North America from 7 – 9 am ET. Special guests to include members of The Watchmen, USS and Liam Titcomb who will perform acoustic sets, plus a cast of the show’s infamous friends and comedians, all before a live audience of SiriusXM subscribers.
“Twenty five years flew by like 25 days, it’s just too bad I can’t remember the last 25 minutes,” said Humble. “But seriously, we wouldn’t be here today without all the great friends we’ve made along the way and want to sincerely thank them.”
“We’re really proud to have such seasoned, hilarious talent as Humble and Fred on our channels,” said John Lewis, SVP, Programming, SiriusXM Canada. “We want to wish them a very happy 25th anniversary and look forward to many more years on the air.”
Howard Glassman and Fred Patterson, affectionately known to audiences as Humble & Fred, began their on-air careers in Toronto in 1989 and quickly developed a dedicated fan base throughout the Greater Toronto Area who loved the candid pair’s slapstick banter. Now, 25 years later, they have a North American-wide listenership tuning into SiriusXM each day for the duo and their guest’s uncensored views on the hot topics of the day.
Listeners who have SiriusXM Internet Radio access can also listen to the event live on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App.
