channel m News Korean Edition has expanded to a daily newscast, Tuesday through Saturday, beginning this week. channel m News Korean Edition will broadcast five days a week to Vancouver’s Korean community from Tuesday to Saturday. The news will be broadcast in Korean with Anchor Mee Aee Chung and will cover local, provincial, national and international news, including stories from Korea.
“We are very pleased to be adding the Korean Edition to our daily news line-up”, says Dianne Collins, channel m’s News Director. “The Korean community in Vancouver will now be able to watch the news, in their language, five days a week!”
BC Stats reports that the number of immigrants from Korea has been steadily increasing in BC and that a high percentage choose to settle in the Greater Vancouver area. Further, BC Stats projects that Koreans will become one of the faster-growing ethnic groups in BC in the foreseeable future.
