The Shopping Channel Hosts Telethon for Cancer Research

  • The Shopping Channel will be hosting the ‘Make a Difference’ telethon to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, where 100% of sales revenue will go directly to cancer research and support services.

    The telethon comes at the end of a nine-day campaign hosted by The Shopping Channel in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Throughout the campaign, viewers have had the opportunity to add a $1 donation to their order and to make a donation via The Shopping Channel’s website.

     “At The Shopping Channel, we are committed to supporting cancer research and raising awareness among our viewers and employees”, said Ted Starkman, General Manager, The Shopping Channel. “We are thrilled by the response we have received so far in the ‘Make a Difference’ campaign, and are grateful for the support of our viewers and of our partners who have made generous donations.” Items for sale during The Shopping Channel telethon include products from our campaign partners such as Dell, Bose, Wolfgang Puck and Dyson as well as once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as lunch with Joan Rivers will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
