CPAC and Specialty Channels Mark 90th. Anniversary of WW1 Armistice

  • To mark the 90th anniversary of the World

    War I Armistice, the Cable Public Affairs Channel and other national specialty channels will air several World War I documentaries from The War Amps internationally award-winning Military Heritage Series.

    In A Vimy Veteran Remembers, war amputee Perce Lemmon describes the pivotal battle. The Blue Puttees tells of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment,
    nearly wiped out in the Battle of Beaumont Hamel. War Amps members talk of surviving the war in If Ye Break Faith, while In Flanders Fields tells of Ypres, the Somme, Vimy Ridge, and Passchendaele. No Man’s Land tells of
    Canadian artist Mary Riter Hamilton, commissioned by The War Amps to paint the
    postwar destruction of Europe’s battlefields.
