The Canada Media Fund announced today Program Guidelines for the Corus-CMF Page to Pitch program for the 2024-2017 fiscal year. It also announced the program’s budget set at over $1.2M.
The Corus-CMF Page to Pitch program is available for producers seeking funding for creative and business activities during the development of eligible live-action and animated television projects triggered by any CRTC-licensed Canadian broadcaster.
The program funds eligible costs related to story and script development as well as expenses related to the acquisition of pre-sale financing from foreign broadcasters and distributors. Applications for funding can be submitted from now until May 3, 2024. Projects will then be evaluated and chosen through a selective process and could access up to $50,000 in funding.
In the 2024-2016 fiscal year, the Corus-CMF Page to Pitch program financed a total of 17 projects; eight English-language projects and nine French-language projects, totaling $0.5M in funding.
