  • Marsden, The FAN part ways

    5/28/2004

TORONTO - This morning was the final show on The FAN 590 for long-time morning host Pat Marsden.

The Rogers-owned company made the announcement yesterday.

Marsden has hosted the morning program on The FAN for the past eight years, following an well-known and established career in sports radio and television in Canada.

"Pat will be missed by listeners and colleagues alike. He joined The FAN eight years ago and helped to establish the station as the preeminent sports station in Toronto," said Nelson Millman, program director for The FAN 590.

Marsden himself has said he is looking forward to not getting up at 4 a.m. anymore.

Details on the new FAN morning show have not yet been announced, but buzz is that afternoon host and former Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Gord Stellick has the inside track on the slot, along side co-host Don Landry.
