AZCAR Awarded $US2.6M Digital Radio Facility Contract by American Forces Radio and Televisionby -- Stephen Pumple, President & CEO, AZCAR Technologies Incorporated, is pleased to announce that the American Forces Radio and Television Service has selected AZCAR USA Inc., to provide a turnkey Digital Radio Automation System with modular Digital Audio Routing Subsystem for the new AFRTS Digital Radio Facility at the Defence Media Center at March Air Force Base, CA.The Digital Radio Automation System and Digital Audio Routing Subsystem will be capable or acquiring, routing, storing, managing, editing, scheduling and airing radio programming for 18 on-air format channels and 24 off-line recording channels with future expansion capabilities to 24 on-air and 30 recording channels. After reviewing several competing proposals submitted in response to its RFP, the AFRTS selected the AZCAR technical solution because it offered the best value for its Digital Radio Facility and allowed for future growth of the AFRTS radio operations. AZCAR has subcontracted key software and hardware components of the Automation and Routing systems to OMT Technologies Inc. and Sierra Automated Systems.
