VDN Chooses Net Insight for Video Networkby -- Net Insight Net Insight has received an order from VDN, the Canadian telecommunications company, for a media network in Canada.The network will be used to distribute cable TV programming as well as provide services to professional media companies. VDN has chosen to build their next generation network on the Nimbra platform that delivers 100% QoS with maximum network utilization for real time video, data and voice services. This enables VDN to transport its current CATV programming and will enable VDN to expand into the professional media services market. Net Insight has received this order through its reseller Geartech Technologies Inc. The network will be fully operational in May. "We have chosen Net Insight since they have the leading technology for professional media networks", says Philip Gale, CEO of VDN. "The Nimbra platform allows us to both distribute CATV and provide professional media services in the same infrastructure", he continues.
