Leitch Appoints Server Division Partner Manager

Leitch Technology Corporation (TSX:LTV) today announced that Jim Leighton has been appointed partner manager for Leitch's server division. His key mandate will be building the business relationships with Leitch's development partners, ensuring that they have the right programs, tools
and support to position Leitch as the preferred server solution.
Leighton brings to Leitch more than 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry, having held positions with companies including Sony, Harris (Louth) Automation, and Omneon Video Networks, where he developed the company's original partner program. Along with his impressive track record
in partner management, Leighton's range of experience also includes program management, market development, product marketing and systems engineering.
"I am confident that Jim's broad industry experience, product knowledge and business leadership will make him a major asset to our valued partners and to the Leitch server organization," said Tim Slate, director of product
marketing for Leitch's video server division.

Leighton holds a bachelor's degree in communications/broadcasting and is a member of the San Francisco chapter of SMPTE.
