BBM CANADA APPOINTMENTby -- BBM Canada BBM Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Randy Missen to Vice President, PPM and Client Software effective February 1, 2024.In his newly expanded role, Mr. Missen will continue to oversee the on-going development of BBM’s electronic audience measurement panel in the province of Quebec. This panel is the first in the world to use wireless “PPM” (personal portable meter) technology to provide television audience measurement on a commercial basis, and is also being used to evaluate potential PPM applications for Radio audience research. In addition to his PPM responsibilities Mr. Missen will direct a series of major new initiatives designed to ensure that BBM’s software capabilities including microBBM, microTV, AirWare and InfoSys continue to keep pace with the changing needs of its members. Mr. Missen joined BBM in 1994 as a programmer and was a significant contributor to the emergence of microBBM as the Radio audience software of choice for most Canadian broadcasters and agencies. In 1999 he was assigned to the management team responsible for launching BBM’s television audience measurement panel employing picture matching technology.
