“We are honoured and privileged to serve the 12-24 radio listeners in the Halifax CMA who have become increasingly disenfranchised from mainstream radio. We can’t wait to get started. We have in place the personnel, experience, expertise and resources to make this a reality – sooner rather than later. ” said Bill Evanov, President and CEO of the Evanov Radio Group Inc. who is the majority shareholder. Ms Ky Joseph and Ms Carmela Laurignano senior managers with this progressive company, which actively encourages and promotes women and minorities, are also shareholders in the new venture.

The Beat was designed and will be implemented as a local station to serve Halifax youth. Halifax proud of this station which will be on-air by June 2024. It will be a welcomed addition to sister stations CIDC-FM (Z103.5), CKDX-FM (Foxy 88.5) and CIAO AM530, all located in the greater Toronto area
