Leitch Technology Corporation today announced the
release of CCS-TRAX(tm), a unique application that integrates the operation of routers and processing products. A key component of Leitch's Integrated Content Environment, CCS-TRAX exploits synergies between Leitch's routers
and processing equipment to streamline customer workflow and reduce error.
"One of the key goals of any Integrated Content Environment is to minimize the potential for mistakes within a broadcast operation," said Tim Thorsteinson, president and CEO of Leitch Technology. "By improving the efficiency of an operator's workflow and virtually eliminating the
possibility of error, CCS-TRAX brings us one step closer to that objective."
In a typical workflow, two steps are required for an operator to correct live incoming signals before going to air: the incoming signal must first be selected with a router control panel, and the signal parameters must then be adjusted on a different control panel. Because the operator must use two different control panels to make any corrections to the incoming signal, it is possible to inadvertently adjust a signal that is already on air.
With CCS-TRAX, the moment the operator selects the incoming signal with the router control panel, the associated audio and video controls immediately appear on the processing control panel, thereby eliminating the possibility
of mistake. By simplifying and accelerating access to the correct controls, CCS-TRAX significantly improves the workflow efficiency in master control operations.
CCS-TRAX is the newest release within Leitch's Command Control System(tm) (CCS), a powerful system of hardware control panels and software applications that control and monitor CCS-enabled and SNMP-enabled devices
on a network from anywhere in the world.
