Sony of Canada Ltd., Canada's leading electronic and computer products solutions provider for consumers and business, today announced that its Broadcast Communication Solutions Group has been
selected by CPAC, Canada's Political Channel, to completely outfit and build a new portable video production unit.

CPAC's field production unit, which will be supplied to the
national broadcaster in the form of a turnkey solution, will consist of IMX VTRs, an XDCAM Professional Disc Deck, DXC-D35 cameras, wireless microphone systems and LUMA LCD monitors from Sony, plus a production switcher, audio mixing console and intercom system.

"The field production unit will enable CPAC to meet its
mandate to Canadians as this country's key provider of parliamentary, political and public affairs programming," said Colette Watson, President, CPAC. "Our core competency is broadcasting political issues-oriented information of
importance to Canadians, whereas Sony's core competency is building turnkey solutions that make that possible. We are very pleased with Sony's ability to deliver this new capability to CPAC on budget and on time."

"CPAC plays a vitally important role in Canada's democratic
process, making it critical that it has the technology to give it timely access to information - wherever that might be nation-wide," said Anil Sethi, Senior Vice President, Broadcast Communication Solutions Group, Sony of Canada
    Ltd.

"CPAC is a highly-valued Sony customer and we are very pleased to have had the opportunity to build a turnkey broadcast solution that will assist it in serving its mandate."
