Leitch's Videotek DL-850HD High Definition Serial Digital Legalizer Awarded the Prestigious BIRTV Product Technology Award

    Videotek, a division of Leitch Technology Corporation and a leader in innovative test and measurement instruments, announced
    that its ground-breaking DL-850HD Legalizer was honored by the Beijing
    International Radio, Film and Television Equipment Exhibition (BIRTV) with
    the Product Technology Award for outstanding achievement. The award,
    presented at China's largest exhibition for radio and TV service providers
    and equipment manufacturers, follows an earlier acclaim from Broadcast
    Engineering Magazine, which awarded the DL-850 its "Pick Hit" award at the
    National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention last April.
    "Customers are demanding when it comes to broadcasting or producing
    programming that must comply with HD standards," explains Phil Steyaert,
    president of Videotek. "The new DL-850HD utilizes state-of-the-art features
    and performance to meet the needs of customers operating in the complex
    world of color space conformance."
    Designed to provide a versatile and cost-effective solution in HD Space, the
    DL-850HD High Definition Serial Digital Legalizer incorporates advanced
    capabilities with the ease of straightforward, flexible operation. The
    DL-850HD's compact half rack size belies the powerful features this
    instrument offers to eliminate the guesswork in legalizing HD SDI signals.
    The DL-850HD auto-format detect input accepts SMPTE 292M formats and outputs
    the same format; HD SDI is legalized to HD, SD, Encoded (NTSC or PAL) and/or
    RGB color space. Direct access and real-time operation of the DL-850HD is
    intuitive using front panel controls or via Ethernet, with an embedded Web
    server providing a user-friendly browser interface. All of the DL-850HD
    alarm points are adjustable, which allows for a variety of custom
    configurations of HD Clip, Encoded gamut, RGB gamut and Loss of input
    alarms. An optional, factory installed HD SDI gamut monitoring output
    displaying gamut error location is also available.
    One of the most advanced test and measurement instruments available on the
    market today, the DL-850HD provides real-time, automatic legalization for
    any broadcast or post production facility.
