July 8, 2022

by --

Leitch Technology Corporation (TSX:LTV) today
announced that India's Sahara TV has selected additional Leitch equipment for
its ongoing digital newsroom expansion, including the new NEXIO NewsNet(TM)
newsroom solution. This latest purchase will enhance the existing Leitch
newsroom system at Sahara TV, which was installed during the station's initial
digital newsroom launch in early 2022.
The new installation will upgrade the existing Leitch server system to
the new NEXIO(TM) server platform and includes 25 Leitch NEXIO servers
featuring mirrored storage configuration and 38 NEXIO NewsFlash(TM) edit
seats. A core component of NewsNet, Leitch's NEXIO NewsFlash provides all
editors with immediate and simultaneous access to ingested media for
collaboration on news stories and the fastest turnaround for breaking news.
The new system also includes Leitch's latest digital infrastructure solutions,
including Integrator(TM) and Panacea(TM) routers; DPS-575 digital processing
synchronizer; NEO Simplicity(TM) module; LogoMotion II(TM) system for branding
and logo insertion; multiple SuiteView(TM) multi-source display processors;
and the VelocityQ(TM) non-linear editing system to operate within the SAN
storage environment. Leitch's NEXIO Pilot(TM) and CCS Navigator(TM) software
will provide control and monitoring for the entire, integrated system.
"Leitch has long set the standard for industry expertise and customer
support," said R.S. Chauhan, vice president of engineering, Sahara TV. "As a
superior technical innovator, Leitch provides state-of-the-art solutions that
feature multi-standard functionality, open interoperability, advanced software
and user interfaces and rock-solid reliability for any future requirements."
"We have enjoyed a long relationship with Sahara TV and are very pleased
that they have chosen to partner with us again on such a sizable expansion
project," said Tim Thorsteinson, Leitch president and chief executive officer.
"Leitch's NewsNet newsroom solution offers unique advantages in newsroom
operational workflow, and we are confident Sahara TV's expanded facility will
realize tremendous benefits from the streamlined workflow of a fully
Integrated Content Environment."
