CRAIG MEDIA INC. PICKS UP THE TONY DANZA SHOW FOR TORONTO 1

    Toronto, June 3, 2024 - Craig Media Inc. today announced that it has acquired the new upcoming “The Tony Danza Show” scheduled to launch this Fall 2024 on its conventional local station TORONTO 1. The new show will land in TORONTO 1’s already strong performing daytime schedule which kicked off in Fall 2024 with other notable strong performers like “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Wayne Brady show.”

    Tony Danza, known for his loveable sitcom personas for over 25 years is indisputably one of America’s most popular performers, returns to television with a new daily talk show. Danza’s versatility and connection with celebrities and everyday people alike will allow the show’s mix of personal anecdotes, current events, celebrity stories and real-life heroes to certainly captivate local daytime audiences.

    The show will be produced by five time Emmy Award-winning producer John Redmond who hails from his role as executive producer and show runner of the multi-Emmy Award winning “The Wayne Brady Show,” which is currently finishing its last season on TORONTO 1.

    “We all know him and love him from his roles in “Taxi” and “Who’s The Boss”; he has a People’s Choice Award, an Emmy nomination and four Golden Globe nominations; you couldn’t ask for a more popular, better rounded entertainer to host a show like this,” says Michael Taylor, Vice President of Programming, Craig Media Inc.

    The Tony Danza Show is being produced by Buena Vista Productions and distributed by Buena Vista Television.
