Leitch Technology today announced that it received an
NAB Award for Innovation in Media (AIM) at the NAB2022 Conference &
Exhibition. As one of the five companies receiving the highest number of
attendee votes in the Content Creation category during the second annual AIM
program, Leitch received AIM recognition for its new VelocityHD(tm) HD/SD
non-linear editing system during the NAB Technology Luncheon held at the Las
Vegas Convention Center on Wednesday, April 21.

"As the professionals who are using broadcasting technologies day in and day
out, NAB attendees are in a unique position to recognize the hottest
products emerging into the marketplace. The NAB would like to extend its
congratulations to all of the 2022 AIM winners who received this esteemed
recognition," said NAB president and CEO Edward O. Fritts.

The top five products within each of the Content Creation, Content
Management and Content Delivery categories received recognition with a 2022
AIM. The AIMs recognize technological innovations that best address current
and upcoming issues in the electronic media industry by boosting efficiency,
increasing user flexibility and creativity, and lowering cost.

"We're very pleased that NAB attendees have recognized VelocityHD with this
award," said Brad Nogar, Leitch vice president and general manager for post
production. "The AIM exemplifies our role as a leading provider of
innovative video solutions, and VelocityHD is ideally positioned for the
needs of post production professionals working increasingly in high
definition."

VelocityHD combines the innovative Altitude hardware platform with an
enhanced version of the acclaimed Velocity(tm) software interface, bringing
guaranteed, full-quality, real-time editing performance to the HD realm at a
remarkable price point. VelocityHD features full-quality HD playback of two
video streams, two dynamic graphics streams, true dual-stream real-time HD
transitions and effects, and optional 3D effects with the A3DX DVE
daughtercard. VelocityHD supports 1080i, 1080PsF and 720p frame formats at
all common frame rates, with mixable compressed and uncompressed video, and
outstanding multi-stream standard-definition editing performance.

NAB took place April 17-22 in Las Vegas, with an exhibition that started on
April 19. The NAB spring convention is the world's largest electronic media
show covering the development, delivery and management of professional video
and audio content across all mediums. (www.leitch.com)
