TELETOON Unveils ‘Can’t Miss March’

  • TELETOON presents a jam-packed lineup of special “Can’t Miss March” programming from Monday, March 12 to Sunday, March 18. Each weekday will be kicked off with back-to-back movies, followed by marathons of hit shows like Johnny Test and Total Drama: Revenge of the Island and evening movies. The excitement continues when a shadowy figure from the past returns in the season four finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Friday, March 16 and Shaquille O’Neal hosts the action-packed Hall of Game Awards on Sunday, March 18.

    TELETOON’s “Can’t Miss March” programming includes the following highlights:

    Hall of Game Awards

    Airs Sunday, March 18 

    Hosted by basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, the Hall of Game Awards is a high-energy, off-the-wall, multi-platform experience that honours the most popular sports stars and sports moments of the year. Viewers can expect a star-packed red carpet, onstage celebrity surprises, icons from television, film, music and sports, and hilarious hijinks all wrapped up into one awesome awards show.

    To add some Canadian flavour to the proceedings, viewers will be invited to visit teletoon.com and vote for their favourite Canadian athletes and sports moments from February 23 to March 16. Categories include Most Unreal Moment, Funniest Sports Blooper, Best Hockey Jersey, Most Extreme Sport and Top Canadian Athlete. Canadian winners will be announced via lower thirds during the Hall of Game Awards broadcast on March 18. While casting their votes on teletoon.com, fans can also enter the “TELETOON’s Got Game” contest for a chance to win a trip to any NHL game in Canada.

    Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Season Four Finale)

    Airs Friday, March 16

    As the Jedi Knights continue to lead the army of brave clone troopers into epic battles in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the season finale turns personal as a villain long thought dead seeks vengeance. Darth Maul, the fearsome warrior first seen in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace returns, meaner than ever and he’s looking to make Obi-Wan Kenobi pay in an action-packed rematch.

    The scale and scope of Star Wars: The Clone Wars grows with each episode and this finale has amazing action, breathtaking animation and a story that connects to the Star Wars saga that cannot be missed. Leading up to the finale, Star Wars fans can get an extra dose of the Force when TELETOON airs the hilarious LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace, followed by a mini-marathon of the final four episodes of the season.

    When a son of a gangster shark boss is accidently killed while on the hunt, his would-be prey and his vegetarian brother both decide to use the incident to their own advantage. Starring Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Jack Black and Renée Zellweger.

    Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009)

    Airs Thursday, March 15 

    The sub-zero heroes from the worldwide blockbusters Ice Age and Ice Age: The Meltdown are back in an incredible adventure – and this time they’re beneath the ice, discovering a world of dinosaurs.

    Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur (2011) (Network Premiere)

    Airs Thursday, March 15 

    When the Scooby-Doo gang encounters the horrible Phantosaur, a ghostly dinosaur that seems intent on keeping a group of paleontologists from digging fossils, they investigate to find out what’s really behind this prehistoric haunting.

    From Monday, March 12 to Friday, March 16, TELETOON will broadcast marathons of hit shows including Johnny Test, Detentionaire, Total Drama: Revenge of the Island, Adventure Time and Looney Tunes.
