Bell Media’s Harold Greenberg Fund announced today the appointment of acclaimed actor/producer Jennifer Podemski to the Fund’s Board of Directors. An accomplished storyteller both in front of and behind the camera, Podemski joins the board of the Harold Greenberg Fund before the Fund’s fall session, which will determine its next round of Script Development Program recipients later this year.
“Jennifer is an absolutely fantastic storyteller, whose fresh voice will greatly benefit the Fund and Canada’s immensely talented filmmaking community,” said Suzette Couture, Co-Chair, Harold Greenberg Fund. “We are excited to welcome Jennifer to the team, and extend our heartfelt thanks to Melanie Friesen, whose dedication and passion for Canadian film have inspired countless filmmakers across the country.”
Podemski’s Redcloud Studios’ credits includes the 2024 feature Empire of Dirt, which garnered five Canadian Screen Award nominations. Born and raised in Toronto, Podemski is well known for her starring role in Bruce McDonald’s Dance Me Outside, as well as parts in Sarah Polley’s Take This Waltz, THE REZ, RIVERDALE, DEGRASSI TNG, THE BORDER, MOOSE TV, and HBO Canada’s SENSITIVE SKIN.
Podemski joins Harold Greenberg Fund board members Suzette Couture (co-chair), John Galway, Damon D’Oliveira, Corrie Coe, Jane Tattersall, and Richie Mehta. The deadline for applications for the Harold Greenberg Fund’s Script Development Program is October 12. |
