Astral’s Family Channel cranks up the heat this summer with the launch of its Big Ticket Summer campaign, kicking off today. Guaranteed to take excitement levels off the chart, the summer promotion features not-to-be missed programming, weekly challenges and a special contest leading up to an epic Big Ticket Summer Concert event on Sunday, August 26 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto.
Presented by Family in conjunction with Live Nation, the colossal concert event will be hosted by Family Channel stars including: Really Me’s Sydney Imbeau and Kiana Madeira; What’s Up, Warthogs! stars Tiago Abreu, Ed Witzke and Ana Golja; and Wingin’ It’s Demetrius Joyette and Brittany Adams.
Headlining the Big Ticket Summer Concert is Disney star and fan favourite, Bridgit Mendler, best known for her role as Teddy Duncan in Family Channel’s popular series Good Luck Charlie; pop rock trio Allstar Weekend; and power pop group R5, the sibling-based group featuring Austin & Ally’s Ross Lynch and Glee’s Riker Lynch. Joining the line-up is very special guest and Canadian teen sensation, Tyler Medeiros, as well as guests Mimoza Duot and Veronica.
Dedicated to providing the ultimate experience to Family Channel viewers, Family is giving away 11 prizes to attend the Big Ticket Summer Concert. Each prize, which can be won as part of the Big Ticket Summer Challenge on Family.ca, includes four tickets to the concert in Toronto, as well as transportation and accommodation.
Each Monday throughout the summer from June 4 to August 19, seven challenges will be posted for Famclub members registered in the Challenge to complete. Challenges range from quizzes to photo submissions to online activities and members track their progress online using their accounts. By completing five of the seven challenges each week, Famclub members are entered for their chance to win their way in to the summer’s hottest event. Users completing six challenges per week will receive two entries and anyone completing all seven challenges will receive three entries into the contest. Winners will be selected each week and Famclub members can continue to enter throughout the summer until August 19 when the contest closes. .
Famclub members are also eligible for presale tickets to the Big Ticket Summer Concert beginning today through Wednesday, June 6. Ticket sales open to the general public on Friday, June 8.
Special Big Ticket Summer programming on Family features big movie premieres including Let It Shine, Bedtime Stories and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, episode marathons of Family’s biggest series and special episode premieres from viewers’ favourite shows.
