“I am joining the team with enthusiasm,” said Ms. Friolet-O’Neil, “aware that I will have an opportunity to take an active part in the development of our communities by contributing directly to the capacity-strengthening of campus and community radio.”

A graduate in social sciences with a specialization in political science from the Université de Moncton, Ms. Friolet-O’Neil held the position of Executive Director of the Regroupement féministe du Nouveau-Brunswick as well as Vice-President of the Société Nationale de l’Acadie (SNA).  Her professional experience and various commitments have allowed her to fully understand and contribute at all organizational levels.  In addition, her background has enabled her to develop skills in leadership, governance, and partnership development.  She is interested in identity dynamics, Canadian linguistic issues, and capability-strengthening of the community and associative sector

Roger Ouellette, the President of the CRFC, said: “We are looking forward to working with Amély. Her arrival at the Fund will allow us to consolidate our achievements and to increase the Fund’s support of the community and campus radio sector.”

Ms. Friolet-O’Neil will officially take office this November 25.
