YMA Announces Winners of French Language Awards of Excellence

  • The winners of this year’s YMA French-Language Awards of Excellence were revealed at the gala held Tuesday evening at Maison de Radio-Canada in Montreal. The host, Valérie Chevalier, gave everyone a remarkable evening celebrating Canadian youth production.

     

     

    Grand Prize for Best Production, All Categories

    • Le Chalet (La fois sur un million) – produced by Passez Go, aired on Vrak TV

     

    Award of Excellence for Best Television or Web Series – Acquisition of Knowledge and Critical Thinking Skills

    • 100% Animal II (Phalangers volants) – produced by Attraction Images Productions, aired on Télé-Québec

     

    Award of Excellence for Best Television or Web Series – Stimulation of Imagination and Creativity

    • Les Argonautes 3 (Princesse Shaolanne) – produced by Productions Pixcom, aired on Télé-Québec

     

    Award of Excellence for Best Television or Web Series Commitment, Openness and Respect

    • Le Bulletin A+ (Les attentats de Paris) – produced by Océan Télévision, aired on Zone Jeunesse Radio-Canada

     

    Award of Excellence for Best Television or Web Series – Advancement of Personal Growth and Self-Transcendence

    The evening also recognized two professionals who have made their mark on the French-language youth production industry:

     

    • The Outstanding Achievement Award went to Johanne Guidotti, formerly at Télé-Québec at the digital department.

     

    • The Emerging Talent Award went to Thomas Gauthier, vloger, creator, author and actor of the French television series Le monde selon Thomas Gauthier.
