Arc Productions, formerly Starz Animation, has announced it is being placed in receivership under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Arc was an animation and visual effects studio based in Toronto. Arc’s client list includes Sprout and Netflx.
In a letter from CEO Tom Murray, Arc is “experiencing significant financial difficulties and a liquidity crisis.” The notice goes on to say that despite the company’s efforts it couldn’t “find a solution to this financial emergency.”
Arc produced many series including Thomas & Friends, Marvel and LEGO. It also produced animated specials such as LEGO Marvel Super Heros:Avngers and Netflix’s Tarzan and Jane series.
