KOUROU, French Guiana - Arianespace, the company launching Telesat's Anik F2 satellite has been forced to once again postponed the satellite launch for another 24 hours due to technical reasons.

Arianespace has advised that during final countdown preparations a problem occurred with the launch pad during fuelling of the Ariane 5 launcher. Telesat's Anik F2 is being maintained in a safe and controlled standby condition and remains ready to launch, says the company.

Telesat's Anik F2 is now scheduled to launch on Saturday, July 17th at 8:43 p.m. (Eastern time). It had originally been scheduled to launch Monday, July 12th, but has already been delayed twice due to a prior technical problem with the rocket and weather.
