Space confirmed that it has ordered 10 additional, one-hour episodes of  Killjoys, with production slated to begin in Toronto this winter. Created by showrunner Michelle Lovretta  and produced by Temple Street Productions in association with Space and Syfy, Killjoys follows a trio of reclamation agents - or “Killjoys” - as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant planetary system on the brink of a bloody class war. Season 2 of the Canadian series will see the return of Hannah John-Kamen, Aaron Ashmore, and Luke MacFarlane.

“It’s a testament to the excellence of Killjoys that the series gained more loyal viewers week after week in its debut season,” said Tracey Pearce, Head, Specialty and Pay, Bell Media. “We look forward to working with our partners at Temple Street Productions and Syfy to give our engaged, genre-loving viewers what they want in Season 2.”

Hosted by Innerspace’s Morgan Hoffman, and Ajay Fry, Space presents an exclusive Killjoys panel at Fan Expo Canada taking place Sunday, Sept. 6.  Fans will be treated to an insider’s look at the debut season and a Q&A with Aaron Ashmore, creator Michelle Lovretta, and Tamsen McDonough, the voice of the Killjoy’s artificially intelligent spaceship.
