Galaxie will introduce an additional 55 music channels for SaskTel’s Max TV subscribers. SaskTel will be the first TV service operator in Canada to offer the complete Galaxie 100 channel line-up to its subscribers. The new channels cover an even wider selection of musical genres, as well as going deeper into popular, existing genres and also include new multicultural channels.
“Since launching the Galaxie Application on Mediaroom, we have been able to confirm through measurement just how much the Galaxie service is valued by our customers, with the majority of Max households using Galaxie in a month”, said Stacey Sandison, SaskTel Chief Marketing Officer. “We are particularly excited to be the first provider in Canada to offer the complete Galaxie line-up and we are certain the wider selection of musical genres will be appreciated by all of our subscribers, particularly our ethnic subscribers.”
In response to popular demand, two of the 55 new channels will feature 100% Canadian music: Canadian Indie, featuring stars and new acts from the burgeoning Canadian indie music scene, and Canadiana, featuring an eclectic cross-section of popular Canadian artists. Additional new channels that perfectly complement the existing line-up include Hip Hop, Groove (Disco and Funk), 60’s, New Age, Headbanger, Rock Anthems, Trance and Chillout, plus many more.
