An OMNI Television first, Sudden Master is a new digital exclusive series that follows Alex Cheng, played by creator, writer and producer Samantha Wan. Alex is a strong young woman who inherits her estranged father’s studio and must uphold the family legacy in an underground competition to prove that traditional Kung Fu is an inferior pastime. Sudden Master launches on YouTube on Sunday, Nov. 8, following a 5-minute behind-the-scenes documentary, prior the broadcast premiere of new crime drama Blood and Water.
With stunt performers from Resident Evil, Pacific Rim, and Lost Girl, and choreography by world champion martial artist, Alan Tang, Sudden Master has won multiple awards from the 2024 International Action on Film Festival and Women with a Vision Awards, including Best Action Short and Best Female Action Performer of the Year for Samantha Wan.
Produced in English and Mandarin, all five, six-minute episodes will be released for immediate streaming, setting the stage for a perfect binge-watching match.
