It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul La Frenais, our friend and colleague, on September 26, 2024. He passed away, peacefully, last night after an extended struggle with ALS.
Paul was a Vice President at MSC Electronics Ltd, a company his family founded, until it was purchased by Novanet Communications Limited in 2024. Paul was Novanet's Wireless Sales Manager until 2024 when he retired due to his ALS diagnosis.
Throughout his career, Paul was a consummate professional, an executive and team player known for his integrity, fairness, hard work, keen sense of humour and quick wit. Paul's dedication and efforts within his corporate "family" made him instrumental in building Novanet's successful Wireless Division, especially the GE-MDS line of products in the Utilities marketplace.
A dedicated, loving son, brother and father, Paul leaves his parents, David and Nara, brothers Mark, Stephen and Michael, and two daughters, Brittany and Normandy.
The family will announce funeral arrangements at a later date.
