Len Bramson, well known in the broadcast sports world has passed away following a lengthy illness.

Born in Montreal in 1925, he served in World War Two as a naval signalman. From 1950-1957 he was Editor of the Hockey News, however, sports broadcast sales and development was his true forte.

Len was president of Telemedia Broadcast Sales, and an equal partner with Foster Hewitt and Phillipe De Gaspe Beaubien in Hewpex Broadcast Sales. Hewpex owned radio rights to the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Montréal Expos. He retired from Telemedia in 1990 to head up the Movie Network. Len Bramson left a large footprint on the Canadian broadcast business.

Len is survived by his wife Sandy in Toronto, two daughters and two grandchildren living in Australia.

A celebration of Len's life will be held at the Rogers Sky Dome, Toronto, Noon - 3:00 pm Tuesday July 8th. in the Summit Suite. It is only fitting that his life be celebrated at the home of the Toronto Blue Jays because for so many years the Sky Dome was his second home.

Len Bramson will be well remembered by everyone who ever came in contact with him. He truly was a Canadian Achiever.
