On Sunday, September 25, HBO Canada's fall season gets into full swing with new episodes of HBO's Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated prohibition-era drama, Boardwalk Empire. Leading into Boardwalk Empire's premiere on September 25 is Season 2 of the no-holds-barred, Gemini-nominated Canadian original comedy series Call Me Fitz, starring Jason Priestley. Also in September is Beauty Day, an original documentary from The Movie Network and Movie Central about the Canadian cult basic cable series The Cap'n Video Show.
Sunday, October 2 brings new seasons of the HBO comedy series Hung and How to Make It in America, followed on October 5 and 6 with Martin Scorsese's documentary George Harrison: Living in the Material World. Monday, October 10 is the premiere of HBO's Enlightened, a new half-hour series about a self-destructive woman who has a spiritual awakening after a life altering meltdown, and Season 3 of Bored To Death starring Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis. Rounding out October is the Season 2 premiere of the David Steinberg-helmed Gemini-nominated comedy Living In Your Car.

Beauty Day

Before Tom Green and Jack Ass there was Ralph Zavadil "Captain Video." This original documentary chronicles Zavadil's cable access television show, The Cap'n Video Show, which featured Zavadil performing a series of idiotic and occasionally dangerous stunts, challenging the sensibilities of his small Southern Ontario audience. With the advent of the Internet and reality television still years away, his unique brand of gross-out stunt comedy was truly ahead of its time. All it took was a broken neck for him to get noticed.
Call Me Fitz (Season 2)

Debuting with back-to-back half-hour episodes, Call Me Fitz returns with Jason Priestley as Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, a handsome, substance-abusing used-car salesman who torments his naïve co-workers, sleeps with any woman who has a pulse, and thinks his life is perfect. Boardwalk Empire (Season 2)

From Terence Winter and Martin Scorsese, Boardwalk Empire returns to chronicle the life and times of Enoch "Nucky" Thompson. Set in 1921, a few months after the end of Season 1, the series picks up after Nucky and his lieutenants - including young WWI veteran Jimmy Darmody - appeared to solidify their power by successfully rigging an election and getting a Nucky crony elected as Mayor. Starring Steve Buscemi, Michael Pitt, Michael Shannon, Kelly Macdonald, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael K. Williams, Dabney Coleman, Gretchen Mol, Vincent Piazza and Stephen Graham.
Hung (Season 3)
Premieres Sunday, October 2 at 10:00 p.m. ET/MT
From creators Colette Burson and Dmitry Lipkin, HBO's half-hour comedy Hung returns to the recession-plagued suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, for its third season. The series continues to follow divorced, middle-aged former high school sports legend Ray Drecker as he continues to exploit his best asset in order to survive. At the conclusion of Season 2, Ray contemplated a break from the business after eyeing a possible second chance with ex-wife Jessica, but Lenore may not be willing to give him up without a fight. Starring Thomas Jane, Jane Adams, Anne Heche and Rebecca Creskoff.
How to Make It in America (Season 2)
Premieres Sunday, October 2 at 10:30 p.m. ET/MT
HBO's half-hour comedy series that follows two enterprising twentysomethings as they try to achieve the American Dream in the bohemian subculture of downtown New York City, returns for its second season. In the first season, friends and business partners Ben Epstein and Cam Calderon attempted to use their street knowledge and connections to make a name for themselves in the city's competitive fashion scene. Starring Bryan Greenberg, Victor Rasuk, Luis Guzman, Lake Bell, Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi, Martha Plimpton and Shannyn Sossamon. George Harrison: Living in the Material World

Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese traces music icon George Harrison's life from his musical beginnings in Liverpool through his life as a musician, a seeker, a philanthropist and a filmmaker. The documentary combines interviews with Harrison and his closest friends with performances, home movies and photographs, and features Eric Clapton, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, George Martin, Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, Tom Petty, Phil Spector, Ringo Starr and Jackie Stewart.
Bored To Death (Season 3)

HBO's quirky half-hour comedy returns for its third season, following Brooklyn writer Jonathan Ames, who lives his life based on a character from his favourite series of detective novels - an unlicensed, inexperienced private eye. Enlightened

Blending comedy and drama, Enlightened focuses on Amy, a self-destructive woman who has a spiritual awakening after a meltdown. After three months of contemplation and meditation at a treatment centre in Hawaii, Amy returns rested and ready to pick up the pieces of her old life and reshape the world she left behind. That includes delivering well-meaning, but generally unwanted advice to her mother Helen, with whom Amy is now living; her slacker ex-husband Levi whose only solace comes from recreational drugs; and the crew of awkward co-workers Amy finds herself reassigned to. Living in Your Car (Season 2)

Executive produced by legendary Canadian comedic talent David Steinberg, Living In Your Car tells the riches to rags story of Steve Unger, a fallen corporate executive who is now living in a converted van, and finds himself settling deeper into the life of a car dweller while attempting to reconcile his growing empathy for the have-nots with his still vibrant need for riches and power. Starring John Ralston, Ingrid Kavelaars, Mariah Horner, Colin Cunningham, Joe Cobden, Ivo Canelas, Kathryn Winslow and Jason Blicker, and featuring appearances by Colin Mochrie, Patrick McKenna, Deb McGrath and Kristin Booth.
