CBC Radio took home 26 awards at the prestigious 2024 New York Festivals International Radio Awards in New York City. Among them, 20 CBC-produced episodes from across the country were recognized, including a United Nations Department of Public Information award to The Sunday Edition for "Habtom's Path."
"The heartiest of congratulations to our CBC award winners at the New York Festivals. It's a brilliant array of programming honoured this year: current affairs, drama, comedy, radio craft and music. We take enormous pride in our ability to serve Canadians well and to see our Canadian content being recognized internationally is true testament to the talent of every one of our award winners," said Denise Donlon, General Manager, CBC Radio English.
The ge of Persuasion, which explores the countless ways in which advertising and marketers permeate our lives, won five awards including the Grand Prize, Gold, Silver and Bronze for individual episodes.
