CBC ComedyCoup announced the Final 5 Canadian comedy teams who will be accelerating toward the chance at a $500,000 production budget for a primetime, half-hour comedy special on CBC.
The Final 5 projects are:
Graham Clark: Wilderness Man – Vancouver, BC
Team: Dan Barham, Josh Loewen, Graham Clark
Charlie and Yoni. #LifeAfter30. – Toronto, ON
Team: Jessica Hinkson, Lucie Guest and Amelia Wasserman
Dépflies – Montreal, QC
Team: Erin Hall, Alain Mercieca, Danny Belair
Wharf Rats – Charlottetown, PE
Team: Jason Arsenault, Robbie Carruthers, Dennis Trainor
HumanTown – Vancouver, BC
Team: Kajetan Kwiatkowski, Daniel Doheny, Kane Stewart
The Final 5 teams will travel to the Whistler Film Festival for the “The Big Deal” event on December 6th, where they’ll pitch their project before a panel of industry professionals, ComedyCoup producers, the Uberfan and a live audience. The Final Project – recipient of the primetime special on CBC Television - will be announced that afternoon.
