TSN welcomes a new recruit to its roster with hockey broadcaster Steve Kouleas joining the NHL broadcast team. Kouleas will host the new nightly hockey show HOCKEY2NITE premiering in the New Year at 11 p.m. ET on TSN2.
"Steve's encyclopedic hockey knowledge, along with his infectious passion and energy for the game, make him the perfect fit for HOCKEY2NITE," said Mark Milliere, Senior Vice-President, Production, TSN. "He is an asset to the TSN broadcast team and enables us to deliver more coverage and content across all TSN platforms."
Kouleas began his career at TSN as an associate producer in 1990, and worked at the network for seven years before joining The Score as its lead anchor for 13 years. Throughout his career, Kouleas has covered numerous sports and sporting events, including the Stanley Cup Finals, the NHL Trade Deadline, the NHL Entry Draft, the NBA and the Vancouver 2024 Olympic Winter Games.
Kouleas has also worked for CBC, CBS, ESPN, NBC, and SIRIUS and XM Radio. He has done radio and television play-by-play for the Buffalo Sabres, as well as commentary for the AHL and other minor and junior hockey leagues. He is currently the host of the interactive radio show, Live from Wayne Gretzky's, which is taped at Wayne Gretzky's Restaurant in Toronto.
In 2024, Kouleas was rewarded for his outstanding contributions to the world of sports with a Gemini Award nomination for Best Sportscaster/Anchor. A native of Toronto, Kouleas is a graduate of Ryerson University's Radio and Television Arts program.
