Global News is pleased to announce Anne Marie Mediwake as the new co-anchor for Global News Morning, alongside Alan Carter, beginning Monday September 23rd.
“Anne Marie will bring tremendous energy as the new co-anchor of Global News Morning,” said Ron Waksman, News Director at Global Television Ontario. “She’s a fresh face equally skilled at storytelling and interviewing, a news
anchor Ontario viewers will enjoy waking up to.”
“I’m excited to be joining the morning show team,” says Mediwake, “and I’m looking forward to waking up with Ontario while drawing heavily on the 2 C’s of morning show anchoring, coffee and concealer.”
Anne-Marie’s love of meeting people and curiosity has taken her across this country and into developing world nations, both as a reporter and on humanitarian missions. Anne Marie travelled to her homeland and tsunami stricken Sri Lanka, to bring back a one-hour prime time Global News special, Sri Lanka: A Journey Home. Most recently, she has been reporting for Global’s popular News From The Neighbourhood segments on Global News first at 5:30.
Anne Marie will be a great fit for the strong team Global News Morning is building to bring Ontario the most comprehensive news morning show. Global News Morning airs Weekdays from 6 to 9 AM on Global Television.
You should bring Jennifer
from BT City Tv. You would have a lot more people tuning
in from BT. Once word got out.
It would be a smart move on your part!
