Bell Media’s BravoFACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent) announced today the eight award recipients from the August 26 jury meeting. Selected from 85 submitted applications, a total of $243,000 was awarded to Canadian filmmakers for the production of short films.
Since its inception in 1995, BravoFACT-supported films have enjoyed success both at home and abroad. Most recently, three, BravoFACT-funded shorts, Burnt Grass, Entagled, and Red Alert, have been selected to screen at the 39th Toronto International Film Festival, running from September 4-14.
BravoFACT fund recipients from the August 26, 2024 jury meeting are:

In May, BravoFACT announced the BravoFACT Passport Program, a first-ever partnership with the New York Television Festival, inviting BravoFACT alumni to apply for Official Artist status, and the opportunity to attend 10th annual New York Television Festival to showcase their work. The six projects selected to attend the festival taking place Oct. 20-25 in New York City, as announced by the NYTVF today, are; Let it Ride, The Portal, Siren, Parachute, Marshall Law and Prairie Dogs.
